ছোট বড় সকলের কাছেই ঈদ মানেই কেনা-কাটা, ঈদ মানেই নতুন কিছু। তাইতো গ্রাম-গঞ্জ, পাড়া-মহল্লা, মার্কেট, শপিং মল, ফুটপাত সর্বত্রই বসেছে নতুন জামা-জুতো-চুড়ি-ফিতা-কসমেটিক্স-গহনার পশরা। যার যেমন সাধ্য পছন্দমত সবাই নিজের ও পরিবার আত্মীয় স্বজনদের জন্য কিনছে যেমন প্রয়োজন। মধ্যবিত্ত-বিত্তবানরা যাচ্ছে পুলিশ প্লাজা, বেইলী রোড, গুলশান-বনানী, যমুনা ফিউচার পার্ক, বসুন্ধরা শপিং মলের মত অভিজাত বিপনী কেন্দ্রে আর মধ্য মধ্য-বিত্তরা গাউছিয়া, ধানমন্ডি হকার্স মার্কেট, গুলিস্থান হকার্স মার্কেট কিংবা পাড়া মহল্লার মার্কেট আর নিম্ন বিত্ত কিংবা যারা গরীব শ্রেনীর তারা ফুটপাতের দোকান থেকে কেনা-কাটা সেরে নিতে ভিড় করছেন। যদিও এখনও সেই অর্থে ঈদের ভিড় শুরু হয়নি তবুও সাধারণ সময়ের চেয়ে অনেক বেশী ক্রেতা সমারোহ প্রতিটি মার্কেটপ্লেসে। ১০ রমজান পার হলেই মার্কেটপ্লেসগুলো পরিনত হবে জনসমুদ্রে।
যারা এসির মধ্যে সাচ্ছন্দে কেনা-কাটা করতে চান এবং ব্রান্ডশপের আ্টিইম পছন্দ করেন এবং বাজেট নিয়ে তেমন সমস্যা মনে করছেন না তারা চলে যেতে পারেন যমুনা ফিউচার পার্কে কিংবা বসুন্ধরা শপিং মল, পুলিশ প্লাজা, গুলশান-বনানী বা বেইলী রোডের শপিং সেন্টার সমূহে। এসবের মধ্যে যমুনা ফিউচার পার্ক শপিং কমপ্লেক্স সবচেয়ে সুবিধাজনক, কারণ সেন্ট্রাল এসিসহ ওখানে গাড়ী রাখার জন্য রয়েছে সুপরিসর বেজমেন্ট পার্কিং এবং বিশাল বিশাল শোরুম ও প্রতিটি আউটলেট এর চারপাশে সুপরিসর করিডোর, লিফট ও স্কেলেটর সুবিধা এবং বিভিন্ন ব্রান্ড শপ যেখানে দামাদামির মত উটকো ঝামেলা নেই। এছাড়া অন্য অভিজাত বিপনী বিতানসমূহে একই রকম সুবিধা সম্পন্ন কিন্ত যমুনা ফিউচার পার্ক শপিং সেন্টারের চেয়ে কিছুটা কম সুপরিসর ও কম গাড়ী পার্কিং সুবিধাসম্পন্ন।
তাছাড়া বেশীরভাগ মার্কেটেই গাড়ী পার্কিং সুবিধা সীমিত এবং সেন্ট্রাল এসি সিস্টেম নাই।
