বিভিন্ন সময় এনআইডি কার্ডের জন্য নিবন্ধন সম্পন্ন করে অনেকেই নির্বাচন কমিশন কখন কার্ড দিবে সেই অপেক্ষায় থাকেন। এনআইডি সার্ভিস অনলাইন সিস্টেমে শুরু করায় এখন কিন্ত আর সেই কবে কার্ড আসবে তার জন্য বসে থাকার প্রয়োজন নাই। আপনার প্রাপ্তি রশিদে মূদ্রিত ফরম নম্বরটি একটি এসএমএস দিয়ে পাঠালেই আপনি পেয়ে যাবেন আপনার এনআইডি নম্বর। অতপর এই এনআইডি নম্বর ব্যবহার করে এনআইডি সিস্টেমে রেজিস্টার করে আপনি পেতে পারেন আপানার কাঙ্খিত এনআইডি কপি। এজন্য কাউকে কোন ফি দেয়ারও প্রয়োজন হবে না। বিনামূল্যে এই সেবাটি পাবেন নির্বাচন কমিশন এর এনআইডি সিস্টেম হতে।
মেসেজিং পদ্ধতি:
যারা নতুন নিবন্ধন করেছেন কিন্ত NID কার্ড পাননি বা NID নম্বর জানেন না তারা মোবাইলের মেসেজ অপশনে গিয়ে টাইপ করুন nid এরপর একটা স্পেস দিয়ে আপনার নিবন্ধন স্লিপে মূদ্রিত নম্বরটি XXXXXXX যা ফরম নম্বর হিসেবে দেয়া আছে সেটি টাইপ করুন এরপর আরেকটা স্পেস দিয়ে আপনার জন্ম তারিখটি টাইপ করুন এই ফরমেটে dd-mm-yyyy এবং পাঠিয়ে দিন 105 নম্বরে।
খেয়াল রাখুন জন্ম তারিখ এর প্রথমে দুই সংখ্যার দিন যেমন, আপনার জন্ম দিন যদি হয় ১ তারিখ তাহলে লিখুন 01 এরপর একটা হাইফেন দিতে হবে (অন্য কোন চিহ্ন দিলে কাজ করবে না) এরপর লিখুন দুই সংখ্যার মাস।
যেমন, আপনার জন্ম যদি হয় জানুয়ারি মাসে তাহলে লিখুন 01 এরপর আরেকটি হাইফেন দিয়ে লিখুন বছর আপনার জন্ম যদি হয় ১৯৭৭ তাহলে লিখুন 1977 তাহলে ফিরতি এসএমএস এ জানিয়ে দেয়া হবে আপনার এনআইডি নম্বরটি।
